Hi. I have been asked by some old friend in NMCB 62 to put together a reunion. We are looking to do it in New Orleans, 3/4-3/6/2011. It will be Mardi Gras. The following list of guys are the people I am in contact with: John Arnold, Johnny Spain, Chris Blesi, Brian Roach, Mike Nasso, Chad Burlinggame, Mark LaValle, Tim Beyer, Kraig Klein, Manny Campos, Joe Speer, Keith Ybaben and Ron Farley. Most of them were at Gulfport 1984 - 1987. If you are interested in attending please email me. We have to start early because that place books up quickly! Have a great day!

I served from 87 to decomminissioning. Made deployments to Guam, and Det Subic Bay. This was one of my best commands. Great people. We made the last full deployment to Camp Jefferies. We worked had and played hard.

Another Minuteman has passed away.

(The following taken from the Gulfport Seabee Courier, dated 3-25-10:)

Frederick Thomas Weaver, 77, passed away March 10, 2010 in Reno, NV. He served in the Navy for 25 years, first as an Airman at Great Lakes, and NAS North Island, San Diego, and later as a Seabee Chief Steelworker with NMCB's 62, 74, and 133 at Gulfport, MS, and NAS, Guam. After retiring from the Navy, he served as an OSHA inspector for the state of Nevada for 14 years. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Juanita of Reno, NV.

We wish our Brother Seabee Fair Winds and Following Seas.
