Hey all you Bees of the 7 seas.....I found this site and see some familar faces. I see that there is no cruise book for the Rota Deployment or the Okinawa. I was with NMCB-62 minutemen from 1985-1987. Does anyone remember the over-the-hump party in Rota Spain??? Looking for Carl Cappabianco, Robert Lambert, Doug Lawson to mention a few. I'm living in WA state as of today.......MCSubmitted by: Will Chess

I was a part of ship's company that opened the base in the Spring of 1966. After one year duty, which included being assigned to Bldg 1 and Shore Patrol (under Chief Tuozzo and GM-1 Sawaicki), was sent to sea duty. Gulfport and the men were the greatest and hard workers. If anyone knows Jerry Donnelly, please let me know. I have been in contact with and Reid Gilsdorf. Again, a great bunch of guys.Submitted by: Patrick Zuk
