My father was BU2 Denis F. Flannery. He was killed in Sigonella, Sicily on March 27, 1989, just before 62 decommissioned. I was only six months old when he died and have only a few snapshots and what my mother has told me about him. If you knew him or ever met him I would really like to talk to you or hear what you would like to say about him. I have nothing and it's like I'm missing half of who I am. Anything you would have to say or share would mean the world to me. I hope you will hold up the "Can Do" attitude.Submitted by: Anthony Campos

Hello Seabees! I served as a Builder with 62 from 76-81. Diego, Midway, Atsugi, Rota, Sigonella and Rosey Roads. Looking to find my old friend Cliff Brown from Silver Springs, MD. Anyone know of his whereabouts? Also, does anyone have a cruisebook from the main body deployment to Diego Garcia in 77? Can't find one on this site or at the Seabee Museum store. Don't see one for the main body in Puerto Rico 80-81 either.Submitted by: Ed Jackson

I served 81-84 and still remember most of it like it was yesterday. Made some good friends and had some good times. Still in contact with some of the guys from Alpha Co. My kids think I'm crazy when I tell stories of the things we did and the things we got away with. Keep those memories alive guys, they're part of who we are today.Submitted by: Ronald E. Smucygz

My last year in the Navy was 1975 and my "Sea Duty" was an assignment as hospital corpsman with MCB62 home based in Gulfport. I was deployed to Rota and have fond memories of Ciudad de Plata, and the surronding towns in Southern Spain.
