Great site, looking through saw alot of old friends. I was in 62 from 85 to 88 and moved onto Norfolk and so on. Was on Diego in 88 with Lawson, Byars, Coffin, Roach, Chief Verdigan and Lt. Orlowski to name a few, great deployment. I retired after 24 years in 2006.

Fellow, Bees
Was in 62 for the first two tours, 66-67 and 68. Was in D Co while at Hue-Phu Bai and then B co at Red Beach Danang. Remember Ken Miller, Mennuci, Riley, plus Jim Oakes. Great bunch of guys. Would like to hear from them again. In 87 stopped in to see Joel Webber in Wash state while I was traveling. Will join the alumni association soon.

NMCB62 86-89. I am seeing more people on here I know. Not to sound old but can you imagine a deployment with e-mail a cell phone and females in battalion?? I would say they have it easy now but some are getting shot at over there so I guess I had it easy. Some of the best times of my life I owe to the seabees.Hello to all my old friends I hope life is treating you well.

I was in B Company in 1969 at Dong Ha. I was a UT working at the water plant and then maintaining the boilers at the chow hall and showers. I went back to Viet Nam in 1970 on Seabee Team 6205 with a lot of really great guys. We completed a lot of great and rewarding projects. I finished my Seabee service at Camp David Maryland in December 1971. Would love to hear from anyone.

Served in 62 From 1984-1989, loved it and met the best friends I have ever had. North vs. South football games were the best. I retired from the reserves as a SWC (SCW) NMCB 27. Gretchen and I are going to be celebrating our 25th year anniversary in two weeks, we had four children (2&2).

All is well. I tell folks that I served with the greatest fighters and drinkers Neptune ever let out of the sea. God Bless NMCB 62.
