Howdy All!

I am the son of, now deceased, Master Chief James "Buddy" Lassiter. It has been a few years since dad died, 2006, and I was thinking about him the other day. I believe he was NMBC 62 on more than one occasion. I was wondering if any here knew my dad and if so had any stories of pictures with him in them.

hope you all have a great day!

Oh and Happy Belated Birthday to the Seabee's

6 years active duty,SW-2 was my finale rank. Joined 62 in June 1976-Dec 1979 then 2 years PWD Nea Makri Greece. Diego,Misawa,Atsugi, Sigonlla with the minutemen. Worked hard and played hard like many of us then. Lots of good friends and I hope your all doing well. I still laugh when I think of Kevin Lynch, what a card! After Navy days work as welder for General Dynamics building subs for the Navy, then became a letter carrier delivering mail. Retired from the PO and drive supplies for power company.

Checking back in. Signed the guestbook several years ago. NMCB 62 from May until 1979 as a UT3 and UT2. Deployed to Okinawa and Diego Garcia. Recognized a few names. Don't see too many UTs. Retired in 1999 from NMCB 24 in Huntsville, Alabama. Learned a lot while in 62. Met some interesting folks. Looked through my 62 cruisebooks a few months back. Was amazed I had not changed a bit from the 1970s. Seems there should be so many more Minutemen with entries in this guestbook.
