Brother Minutemen:

The registration and tour forms for the April 2016 Gulfport reunion have just come out via email. If you are planning to come to the reunion and didn't get your copies by email send me an email and I'll forward them to you. Don't wait! There are only 250 tickets being sold for the banquet. We will hold our alumni meeting 11AM Sunday morning, before the going-away picnic.

Recently joined the MCB 62 Alumni Group. Searched the member names and saw so many names I remembered. It's been 50 years, don't know if I'll recognize any faces. I was in Personnel for four years so I got to see and know most of the Seabees cause they would come thru our office for leave, training, transfer, discharge. After 4 1/2 years of active duty with only MCB-62, I joined MCB-22 in the reserves for 10 more years. The Can-Do spirit has always helped me overcome problems encountered. It cracks me up when I see any kind of construction jobs being milked by workers that I know the Seabees could complete in hours or days. Shout out to my fellow Personnelman, David Gudgel. Seen any more Giant Frogs. Hope to see ya'll in Gulfport.

IMPORTANT 2016 REUNION NEWS:

Good News: The Gulfport, MS All Seabee Reunion WILL be held from Thursday night, 28 April through the going-away picnic Sunday afternoon, 1 May 2016. NMCB 62 will hold our reunion with them as we have done for many years. We (NMCB 62) will hold our annual meeting late morning (probably starting around 11am or noon) on SUNDAY, 1 May 2016.
We invite any Seabee stationed in Ireland, Scotland or England to join our meeting.
The final big picnic at the Ramada hotel will follow our meeting. After the picnic we will meet in the inner area by the pool for more good cheer, more true Minuteman stories and more photos. Bring your lawn chair for this. Plan on departing the reunion Monday morning, 2 May, 2016. The Ramada is only two stories high and fills up quick. You can make your reservations right now by phone. See our website Link 1 for more information and their phone number.
