I was with 62 from 09/74 thru 03/78.Made the Rota, Yokuska, Japan Det. and Diego deployments.
I don't remember much of the Diego deployment. Kevin Buckly, from Delta Company and I (Charlie Company)worked in the liquor store warehouse.

A new book, Just Do It, Crazy or Not, published by Manzano Alley Press recounts the life story of Chief Irvin Hornkohl. As a Seabee he served two tours in Vietnam with NMCB 62 and 6201. He was also a resident Seabee at American embassies in Prague and Cambodia.
